Kayak Cove: Bay front with dock

My family recently had the pleasure of staying at Kayak Cove, and we all truly loved the experience. From catching blue crabs and a 23" red fish right off the dock to the air-conditioned comfort of glorious views (and fast internet), the property offered something special to each member of our three generation group. The house is clean and comfortable, and well stocked, and just a few minutes from Dock Street. It's a true gem!

The house was very clean and well furnished for an enjoyable stay. Kitchen has everything you need, and the bed was comfortable. The water is hot! We kayaked every day and launching from the property was easy and very convenient. Be aware of tide times as the inlet will empty out at low tide. If you plan to self cater, make sure you take provisions in with you. Cedar key is very much a small island and there is no large supermarket. The house is great and we plan to return later this year for more kayaking/birdspotting/general relaxation.

Kayak Cove is a great property located in what seems like a secluded lot surrounded by trees and the canal. The back deck is at tree height giving the feel of being in the trees, although the trees are far enough away not to create distractions. The neighbors home is set back from the canal, far enough away and not really visible from the deck. The main living area of the house has large windows with great views. The house itself was clean and very well equipped, the appliances were in good working order, and the outside grounds were well maintained. Our visit required more coordination than usual, McCormick Management did a great job communicating and making sure everything was well organized for our stay.

Home had everything needed for a quiet getaway. We did not see a neighbor during our stay. We checked out Sunday before Hurricane Idalia came ashore. Ate at local restaurants along the bay - imagine no chain restaurants. Make sure and read the tide charts before heading out to the bay - low tide is very low. First time trip out to Cedar Key and will visit again. Chose Kayak Cove for the EASY water access.
