Quirky hotel in a great location

A lovely historic hotel
Positive: Loved the creaky stairs, the porch for late afternoon drinks, excellent restaurant, cute bar and just the overall feel of an old we'll maintained hotel

Location and feel of the hotel is excellent but room let the stay down
Positive: Loved the first floor veranda and the history of the hotel. Bar & restaurant food was excellent and the staff were always available to help
Negative: The room. Best to ask your partner to pop down to the bar whenever you need to use the bathroom. Temperature control seemed to be determined outside of the room. Sound proofing doesn’t exist but a lot of the above is due to the historic nature of the hotel
