Island Hotel Room 30

Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight visit. Wish the weather cooperated better. Hotel was nice. The staff at front desk and bar were super accommodating and friendly. Michael enjoyed his Steak dinner (I was still full from lunch). Key Lime Pie fantastic. We will return again for a boat tour when not rainy.

Our stay at Island Hotel in Cedar Key was nothing short of magical. We wanted to experience the aesthetics of "old Florida," and this iconic 164-year-old hotel delivers. From the original wood floors to the furnishings, the hotel's atmosphere provides guests with the feeling they have stepped back in time. Bud and Laurie, the hotel's owners, as well as their staff, embraced us like family. We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful stay friendly staff clean rooms comfortable beds. Great location!

I was not impressed with the owners & lack of communication between management company and owners. The restaurant was mediocre at best. 2nd floor door is open all night which allows for anyone to enter - potentially creating a security breach. My husband and I felt as if we were walking on “pins and needles” due to thin walls and multiple signs warning about noise that travels. On a positive note, most of the in-house staff was pleasant and the hotel/restaurant is well preserved. I don’t plan on returning nor will I recommend this hotel to my friends.
